Silva Bashllari
Silva Bashllari is a driven engineer passionate about connecting technology with social and economic impact. With a background in data engineering, AI, and machine learning from Politecnico di Torino, she blends technical expertise with strong community engagement. She co-manages Albania’s first independent AI community, leading hands-on workshops and interdisciplinary projects to make AI more accessible. Previously, she organized Women in Tech/STEM events and connected universities with key stakeholders. In 2024, she led a team in the Pisa Internet Festival Innovation Challenge to simplify the EU AI Act for developers. A 2023 European Forum Alpbach scholar in Responsible AI, she also represented Politecnico at the 2022 Forum Ferdinando Rossi with her paper on “Augmenting Humans.” Her master’s thesis explores how AI is reshaping work perceptions, combining machine learning with Albanian storytelling. In 2021, she received a research award for creating a data-driven strategy to help small businesses engage young consumers.
