Lajz Çapaliku is an architect and project coordinator at FARE Bau AG, a housing developer active in Zurich, Switzerland, and Tirana. He is also a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Tirana.
He studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and completed an exchange at the University of Lisbon. During his studies, he was awarded the Oskar von Miller Forum scholarship and received a special mention in the Casas Inhaus competition in Spain. His master’s thesis at TU Munich explored the reuse of abandoned buildings from the communist era in Albania, proposing their transformation into community centers.
He gained professional experience in several architectural practices in Munich and Lisbon, including Pool Leber Architekten, where he was involved in the realization of complex buildings such as the Art Museum in Mittenwald. In 2024, he returned to Albania, where he also served as an advisor at the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation while continuing his professional and academic engagement.
